You reach into the fridge, and pull out a beer
what kind of life do you lead here?
when the traffic’s heavy, and you get cut off
you start to cuss, you blow your top
well that’s a great witness, everyone will see
what kind of life you live, who you trying to please?
It don’t show much conviction
— are you really a Christian?
Can you stand up like you were taught?
Or are you a traitor like you were bought?
You don’t show much conviction
— are you really a Christian?
you open up the Word, and read out a line
bless the food, and you’ll be fine
go to the movies, see the horror shows
listen and laugh at the dirty jokes
well, that’s a great witness, will anyone see?
what kind of life you lead, who you want to please?
(repeat chorus)
you fall on your knees, you cry real tears
then God comes down, takes away your fears
when the load is heavy, yes, He will hear
show some conviction, or get outta here!
What a great witness — everyone will see
what kinda life you live, Who you want to please...
You gotta show some conviction
— if you’re really a Christian
You can stand up like you were taught
Washed in the Blood with which you were bought
You gotta show some conviction
— if you’re really a Christian
“Christian” means “Christ-like”
— what you gonna be?
no more half way for you or me
(repeat 2nd chorus)
Are you really a Christian?
