bright lights in the eyes     surprise
the doctor has been dead     down long corridor
sliding     mistrust is misplaced
drowning in disgrace     but rising with song
like the song of a songbird in heat
can the nuggets be stolen?
confidential information creeps boldly into the closet
escaping the confines of the sky
eyes wide open and a sickening feeling deep down
inside explosions are suffocated in the impurities
wavering wandering lost     but at home
and the warmth is embraced by toads of doom
leaning to and the other way from lack of
consummation     he breathes a high of release
at last, the fairy tales are not broken
trapped ensnared by hidden desires of domination
lack of communication     and rearrangement just
past the north pole
step inside the beautiful room
too good to be through. it will last until
the finishing turns up a little early
so be ready and rock steady and faithful to your
ever-changing aspirations.
reach beyond the timidity and selfishness to grab
a handhold appears in the vertical tunnel (falling)
too fast too hard go play in the yard but grass
stains don’t come out too easy
these eyes are clear and even in my skull
seeing truth and unity between
two people face the next dawn together
