A spark
Appears and
Starts a flicker
And ignites a fire
That blazes
Until the fuel has been consumed
And then it begins to die
And after the brightness
Of the blaze
The spark that remains
Seems so dim
That at first you can’t see it
But there it will always be
Waiting for more fuel
