I Don’t Think I Can

They never told me about the sorrow
Disappointment introduced herself to me
And now Loneliness is my close friend

Some say it is all my choice
Others tell me “just grow up and be a man”
But I’ve done all that more than once now
And I don’t see the point of trying again

Just how many times can you dust yourself off
Nurse your wounds and jump back into the fray
I don’t think I can anymore
