Chilly Autumn Nights

See the rain-wetted leaves now falling,
In the distance, winter’s winds are calling.
All the creatures have found a place to hide
The gray expanse of sky is ever-wide
Coolness that was hidden now controls the day
Chilly autumn nights keep the heat at bay
