Falling Ignorantly

The rain splatters onto the tin roof
with no rhythm
Each drop falling ignorantly from the sky
To each little drop, it surely must seem
that there’s no purpose
And that’s the way our lives seem, to you & I
But, just as those rain drops join together
to quench the soil’s thirst
Surely, our insignificant lives have meaning as well.
