Foolish Wise Man

Self-repressed as it burns
The sun so far away
Scraping roundly the world turns
Comfortless in each day
Rotting wise men
Selfish every one
Who defines their wisdom —
They alone?
For wisdom cannot be
To pine away
At a desk     In a church
Profoundly thinking
Dead flesh stinking
While outside
The sun is setting
