How satisfying it is to relax in the
easy chair late on an autumn evening,
Knowing the work you’ve done.
Rest your bones, your feet, and all the rest,
reclining ever so slightly, enjoying a window view,
The setting of the sun.
There are no regrets, since you gave it your best,
and, privately, you are proud of it all,
Especially when you excel.
Now, just compare this rest to the rest of
the rest that you get after it all,
When EVERYTHING will be well.
