Inertia

At first, you push
Throw your weight into it
Use your legs more
Think about it a while
Figure out a new way to get it going
Can you pull it
Remove obstacles
Grease the path
Get some inspiration
Get some help
Slowly, it starts moving
Slowly, you are rewarded for your efforts
Don’t quit, though
Friction might slow it down
And who knows what lies in the path ahead
Get it up to speed
And it gets easier
Now it’s moving
And stopping the flow
Is as difficult as beginning
If you get in the way
You will be crushed
If you get behind
You will be left behind
So let it roll
Allowing for gravity
Friction
And time
It will come to a rest
Eventually

“An object at rest remains at rest, unless acted upon by an outside force.”
“An object in motion remains in motion, unless acted upon by an outside force.”
