Grossly underestimating my capacity to
throw wrenches into machinery
Sickeningly lurching into a dreamland
curiously void of greenery
Separating oneself from that which brings
pleasure, only to forget the pain
While hiding from the inflammatory Sun,
I miss the cleansing, cooling rain
Avoiding the saddening songs that bring tears,
I turn the happy music down
Fearfully hiding from the savage divorce, and
never glimpsing the beautiful gown
