On My Doorstep Still Perching

More than one Question remains
Along with multitudinous pains
(WHO is holding the reins?)
Has Waldo been gassed?
Has the insanity finally passed?
(IF not how long will it last?)
Do we still have those aspirations?
The ones seeking pulverization?
(OR have we achieved the painful maturation?)
Still living the complicated life
And it causes pain and strife
(BUT we quit searching for a wife)
I shrug as I go on, still lurching
Warring with the world, but not preaching
(RALPHSON on my doorstep still perching)
The path is not yet clear to me
Tho’ I live in the land of the free
(AND I’m not depressed unto insanity)

BUT THE AIR IS GETTING CLEAR
I HAVE FORGOTTEN ALL MY FEAR
(IS it time to timidly cheer?)

Refers to at least 12 titles of previous poems, and some memorable lines from them.
