(Well) I saw you standin’ on the corner
And I’m wond’rin’ what you think a’ me
Well, I saw you standin’ on the corner
And I wonder what you think of me

Then you lifted up your eyes
And I saw deep down inside
‘N’ I saw exactly what you think of me

What I saw inside,
Well, it wasn’t very nice,
And I’m wishin’ that you didn’t think of me

When I felt your soul
All I felt was cold
And I’m hopin’ that you don’t think that of me

I saw you standing on the corner
And I wondered what you thought of me
(Then) I saw you leave from your corner
And you were heading straight for me
