Ultimately, yes, I would like the
world to bow at the feet of my
literary genius, and say, “Oh my
goodness! This is so magnificent!”
But, for now, I just want to
write it down, to soothe my soul, and
to be good enough to impress myself.
(And, hopefully, make a decent living.)
This might be the only poem that's devoted entirely to my own writings. As it happened, exactly a year later I was hired to write and made my living from writing for the next eight years.
