A Prize I Can Find

I wish you didn’t think I was joking
Please don’t ask me what I’m smoking
But understand that I can take it
My heart’s gone — so you can’t break it

From the lines in my face
you can see the years haven’t been kind
Maybe I didn’t win the race
but maybe there’s still a Prize I can find

I wish you didn’t think I was too old
Please remember that my heart’s been cold
Just understand that I’m weak no longer
(Maybe a little...) but you could make me stronger...
