Just for a moment
I believed that hate was no more
That no one would die
When I looked into her eyes

In those orbs and puppy dog smile
All of evil seemed to cease
And I could not imagine anger
Or jealousy or pain

It all was an instant
She's just a girl that I saw
And, well, she’ll see pain
I know it more than some

But just for a moment
When I looked into her eyes
Nothing moves and no one dies
Everything’s all right
