I still don’t know half
Of what I wish I knew
I still haven’t seen everything
I wanted to see by forty-two
Some say I’m more than
Halfway to being completely through
If I made a list, there are
A hundred things I’ve left to do
Maybe it’s time I shifted
Into a higher gear or two
Ironically, this was my 43rd poem of the year. The title refers to my age.
