After years of doubt and self-denial
I finally put my assumptions on trial
Nostalgia gets the benefit of my doubt
It won’t be long before my secret’s out
Everything we once believed and knew
Failed to meet the definition of true
Allow me a day, a month, a year or few
Time is required to rebuild a worldview
