I wrote 46 poems in 2015. Through August, it was ahead of the previous year, but fell behind in September. Still, the total is more than any of the twelve years preceding 2014, and more than 2005-13 combined (33). By mid-April, 2015 was already my 10th-most prolific year, and by early June, it was the 8th. This year was 6th by mid-August. By October, I had despaired of surpassing 2014.

Again, there were “spurts”: May 29 (three poems in 40 minutes), August 15 (three poems in 44 minutes, or four in seven hours), and August 16 (three poems in 42 minutes).
