I remember it all
In the time before Time
In the universe before the World
The marks it left on me

Maybe someday I will recall
Exploding particles, novae,
Colors that no one was around to see
Scraping every electron

It’s in my brain
And literally in everything
Everything born from the Stars
And to them we all will return

Written while listening to Chris Taylor’s “Thou Art A Dreaming Thing” and thinking of the Carl Sagan quote: “The nitrogen in our DNA, the calcium in our teeth, the iron in our blood, the carbon in our apple pies were made in the interiors of collapsing stars. We are made of starstuff.”
