One of the longest books I’ve ever read.

Introduction

I don’t have a list of all the books I’ve ever read, so there could easily be something missing in the following list.

Caveats of which I’m aware: Some books have larger/smaller pages than others, with varying sizes of type and varying margin widths. If books were listed by number of words rather than number of pages, then I’d rank them that way instead, but page numbers is all I have to go on.

Notes on the Bible (which tops the following list): I have read multiple English translations of the Bible, from varying publishers, including but not limited to the King James Version (KJV), the New International Version (NIV), the New American Standard Version, Amplified Bible, and the Living Bible. Some had footnotes, margin notes, chapter introductions, study guides, etc. Some were leather-bound, faux leather bound, hardback, paperback, and a handful (later) were digital versions. All had different page counts. The page count listed below is for my The NIV Study Bible, published by Zondervan in 1985, because it’s the version I read the most often in my teen and young adult years, and because it’s the only copy I still own.

In most cases, including the Bible, page counts below do NOT include indexes, afterwords, table of contents, etc. They only include the page of the actual content. (Occasionally, this will include “end notes”, if the notes have substantial content.)
