“Verily I Say Unto Thee…” is a place for my personal opinions, my how-to articles, reviews of various things, and commentary in general. In other words, it’s editorial in nature. There is no one subject or theme; topics will vary from photography to politics to movie reviews, and sometimes entries are simple bellyaching on my part.

You are welcome to disagree. It may happen that my opinions are contrary to yours. This does not constitute an attack on your opinions or beliefs, but rather a statement of my own.

Note that my opinions change sometimes, based on new information, personal experience, and my feelings at the time. Don’t be surprised if a new entry disagrees with an older entry. I’ve only met a few people whose opinions never change, and I have little respect for their close-mindedness.

History Of This Blog

I began this blog some time in early 2005, using the Blogspot/Blogger platform. In 2011, I moved all entries over to a self-hosted WordPress blog, still called “Verily I Say Unto Thee...” but using my own paid host. Over time, I added some older entries from paper journals, pre-dating them to be accurate, but (perhaps falsely) giving the impression that I had been blogging much longer than I really have.

In 2018, frustrated with an update in WordPress’ editing UI — which rendered it unusable for me — I switched to hand-coding these pages in a text-editor and hosting them as actual webpages rather than going through a blogging platform.
